报告摘要:

Many photos are often captured under suboptimal lighting conditions due to inevitable environmental and/or technical constraints. These include inadequate and unbalanced lighting conditions in the environment, incorrect placement of objects against extreme back light, and under-exposure during image capturing. Such low-light photos suffer from compromised aesthetic quality and unsatisfactory transmission of information. The former affects viewers’ experience while the latter leads to wrong message being communicated, such as inaccurate object/face recognition. In this talk, I will share the recent progress of our team on low-light image enhancement and discuss the research direction in this research direction.

报告人简介：

李重仪，南洋理工大学研究助理教授。主要研究领域包括计算机视觉与深度学习，特别是针对图像和视频的恢复与增强。累积发表80余篇期刊与会议论文，谷歌学术引用量达5000余次。12篇论文被选为ESI高引用论文，2篇论文被选为ESI热门论文，1篇论文获Pattern Recognition期刊最佳论文提名奖。担任IEEE TCSVT、IEEE JOE、Neurocomputing期刊副主编，以及BMVC与AAAI会议区域主席。
